 “Kusasei” comes from kusa (grass) + sei (essence or spirit), together meaning the essence of grass — pronounced Koo-sah-say.

Within The Sphere’s smooth, rounded form lives your own tiny grass spirit — always hydrated, always centered, always alive.

And because The Sphere arrives as a complete miniature garden, you can start your little green world the moment it arrives.

Inside every unit you’ll find everything you need:

  • our self-fertilizing soil blend

  • premium grass seed for multiple growth cycles

  • a pair of precision folding shears for daily trimming

  • a tiny rake for shaping and care

Hidden beneath the planter is a secret storage compartment, designed to tuck away your tools neatly when not in use. And the concealed reservoir below keeps your grass perfectly hydrated — no remembering, no guilt, no extra work.

The Sphere arrives as a complete, ready-to-grow experience — everything you need to create and care for your living grass spirit is included. Just add water.

FAQ

Does it really come with everything I need?

  • Yes. It comes with growing medium, seeds, trimming sheers, wicks, and a small rake tool. You will need to add water (it was too hard to ship the water).

How long until I see something growing?

  • Most seeds will start to break the surface of the growing medium in 3-8 days. They grow faster if you sing to them.

Where do I get more seeds or different seeds?

  • Different seed packs can be purchased from us. We carefully select our seeds to work well in our planters.
